"While we were on a family vacation in Yellowstone National Park, we had the good fortune to meet John Richter at Artist Point. We were both taking pictures of Lower Yellowstone Falls. John invited us visit his new gallery in Jackson when we were done in Yellowstone. 4 days later we stopped by the gallery. I was expecting a simple storefront with calendars and posters, but instead was blown away by breath taking photos displayed in what felt like a contemporary art museum. Even though we are a very middle-class family that does not collect fine art, we could not leave John’s gallery empty handed. John worked with us to find the one piece we really loved, and helped us pick the mounting that worked best with the photo and our home. When the piece arrived at our home in Chicago, we immediately mounted it on the spot we talked about, and it was perfect. Buying a piece of fine art was a big decision, but with John, it was the right decision. In addition to being a talented artist, John (and his wife Dawn), are wonderful people. In the brief time we spent in Jackson, my wife and I really enjoyed getting to know John and Dawn. Meeting John and Dawn, and bringing home a piece of John’s art, was a wonderfully serendipitous event that made our trip to Yellowstone truly memorable."
