Acrylic Choices

Our photographs are the best in the business and to offer anything but the best acrylics to protect your masterpiece would be a compromise we are not willing to take. Unlike our competitors, Richter Fine Art Photography offers only premium Conservation UV™ acrylic and Museum™ acrylic to mount our photographs. These acrylics were developed specifically for the art industry and offer 98% and 99% UV filtering respectively. This protection is unmatched in the industry and John Richter is the only photographer in this field to offer such impeccable quality. Our competitors have chosen to cut there cost by using commercial grade Lexan™ over the fine art acrylic. These inexpensive products have not been tested for yellowing over time, scratch easily, and offer a pathetic 78% UV protection that compromises the print from the moment it is exposed to light! Further, John Richter is the only photographer in the world offering Museum™ acrylic as a mounting option. This acrylic has the highest UV standard available effectively filtering 99% of UV light. Available as an upgrade for numbered editions and standard with our AP series, Museum™ acrylic is also the only product of its kind to offer a reflection control that has no distortion to the image whatsoever. Finally, the Optium™ coating on our Museum™ acrylic gives this product a hardened glass-like surface that prevents scratching keeping your artwork protected no matter what the world throws at it!
