Shooting landscape photographs in the Rockies can be full of surprises. On this September morning I am not sure who was more surprised when I stumbled upon an adolescent black bear snoozing through the dawn still engorged from a nighttime feast of serviceberries. Once the bear recognized he was not dreaming, I was left alone to witness this fantastic sunrise!
