The Komodo Islands are a World Unesco heritage site where one can witness the evolutionary processes that have shaped our natural world. From this vantage point I was left speechless while watching the sky take on pastel hues over the rugged volcanic landscape of Padar Island in central Komodo. Prehistoric Komodo dragons thrive in this harsh tropical savannah environment and underneath the waves another world of incredible diversity rivals the beauty seen here.
