Moyo Island, Indonesia
Many refer to Mata Jitu as the Queen’s Falls having been visited by Lady Diana back in the early 90’s. Tucked deep in the rainforest of Moyo Island I found a true paradise far from the crowds of tourists and influencers, a slice of Indonesia still unspoiled by the scourge of overtourism. The water get’s its blue green color from the pulverized limestone powder that lines the pools and river bottom reflecting the blue of the sky and the greens of the forest. Unlike many other places we visited, this area was raw, untouched and pristine.
