Komodo Island NP, Indonesia
Komodo National Park- After many amazing dives throughout Indonesia we arrived at Batu Bolong, a small unassuming sea arch in the middle of the ocean. The name translates to “hollow rock” which is very fitting. As pretty as the topside scenery was, once underwater it was on an entirely different level! Every dive leading up to this and so many missed attempts, the structure of the corals and water clarity here along with the sheer abundance of marine life would surely deliver the scenery I was so focused on capturing. Traversing this reef we found colorful nudibranch, sea turtles, tuna and trevally along with countless other juvenile reef fish. It was near the end of the dive when I found my favorite angle to shoot. The sunbeams were breaking through the surface of the water adding beautiful natural light to the reef and myriad of fishes swimming in every direction, truly a symphony of life!
